Knowledge
Knowledge is the ability to understand the difference between right and wrong and to recognize good and evil in the world and in ourselves. As we gain knowledge, we lose innocence, because we begin to understand consequences and can no longer claim we “didn’t know.” This section explains what it means to have a sound mind—one that can think clearly, make fair choices, and take responsibility for actions, especially as we grow older. It also shows the difference between knowledge and wisdom, teaching that knowing something is not the same as knowing how to use it well. At its core, this section encourages you to know yourself by understanding your strengths, weaknesses, and limits so you can grow into a better and more responsible person.
