The project7 Files

It started the summer of ‘99 when a group of boys living near Shasta, CA found their father's HAM radio and picked up something on the air that wasn’t meant for them. A voice of a man claiming to be from the year 2026 telling them something had gone terribly wrong. The signal came back at 11:11 every night for the rest of that summer. One word some nights — Antarctica. Paperclip. Watchers. — a full minute on others. The boys started a notebook. They went to the library. They asked the old man at the VFW questions he didn't want to answer. By August, the sheriff had stopped waving when he drove past.

What the voice was reading is what's in front of you now. Ancient aliens. Mythic floods. Gods who were not gods. Secret space programs. Cover-ups, cults, the unseen realm, the file the government has been admitting in increments since the boys were in elementary school. Every cluster in this section is one of those transmissions. Every article is a night the crew chased the signal somewhere the signal didn't want to be chased. You are not watching the show. You are in the garage with them — spiral notebook on your knee, sixty-watt bulb overhead — deciding what to believe and what to verify and what to refuse.

Pull the first thread. Then the next one. You'll think you're just looking, the way the boys thought they were just listening. A few articles in, you'll notice the same name in three places it shouldn't be. A few more and you'll start checking the date on the calendar. By the time you understand what you're actually holding, the feds will be listening, the men in black will be watching, and mom will be waiting outside the front door with a chancla for missing dinner again! And you’ll be wondering if things will ever go back to normal.
